Upcoming Event!

Hello blog readers!  I have some news for you, be sure to attend our upcoming Jules Sayer event!  What is a Jules Sayer event...well, let me tell you.  It is a jewelry party!  That's right, jewelry, and it's being held at the most perfect time of year...right before Christmas shopping!  Be sure to stop by the school library between 3:30 and 6:00 p.m, on November 10, 2010.  There, you will find an assortment of handcrafted, locally made rings, bracelets, necklaces and earings.  You can even find mother's or grandmother's jewelry, made of Swarovski Crystals.  This would make the perfect birthstone gift for any mom!

Guys, this is the perfect place to buy your special lady a gift and you might even find something you'd wear.  There are items available made from Price County birch bark, Lake Superior beach glass and even Whitetail Antlers.  Be sure to check out this most amazing event...oh, and at check out, you can help out our Global Connection travelers by mentioning this blog.  Jules Sayer will donate 30% of your sale to our trip.  So don't forget to tell…well, me…because I'm doing the checking out, that I invited you!  Thanks!

Check out the link in the sidebar at the right.  It will give you more information and it serves as your formal invitation.

The Global Cafe...

The best part of Wednesday morning is stopping by the Global Café for a cappuccino and a muffin…or a cupcake, or an apple, or hot apple cider, or hot chocolate…I’m sure you get the picture.  This is the way our café works.  The students, along with myself and Mrs. Mayer, sign up to work the café on Wednesday mornings every week between now and our departure date.  This is not a mandatory fundraiser.  The student or students who sign up, bring in a morning snack to sell.  The hot beverages are paid for by a percentage of sales from each Wednesday.  The café appears to be a very popular stop on Wednesday morning.  Be sure to check it out!

The Global Connections Mission...

To boldly go where no Prentice student has gone before....ok, I know, lame.  But if you're one of my students, you're not surprised.

For the first time in my history at PHS, a group of students, along with myself and Mrs. Mayer, are taking a journey to Europe.  This is super exciting for those of us, ok...namely me, who wants to travel and has never had the opportunity.  Our planned departure date is April something (you'd think with how excited I am I would know this) and this will be our blog while we are gone.  I hope to post some pictures and let all of you know about all of our fund raising efforts this week, but I really just wanted to launch the blog to see how this would go and get all of the little extras up and running.
