The Global Franchise gets one business larger...

We have the Global Café, the Global Ice Cream Stand and now we have the Global Diner.  The Diner will be open at 5:00 on home game nights.
For the month of December, we will be open 5 to 8ish on December 10, 13, 17, 20 and 21.  Our daily specials include:  Pizza, Taco Salad, Hot Dogs, Nachos and Ice Cream.  Stop by for supper or a snack. There is always a friendly face and the food is great!
Does that sound good?  I’m having creativity problems this afternoon.  I’m really impressed that it’s December 7, and I’m posting again.  This is really kind of fun!  The Global Diner came about when we found out we were the ONLY school on the bus for Paris, which means we have to pay a little bit extra.  This fundraiser is available to all our travelers, but they, or in most cases their parents, must sign up to work.  The money earned will then be divided up amongst those who help.
I never realized how much work there is to set up a concession stand with food.  I’ve helped sell before, but I've never helped set up and let me tell you, it’s not easy.  I started at 3:30 right after school, cut my finger slicing tomatoes and had my 5-year old assisting and still barely opened before kids started asking for food.  After that it was easy…so kudos to all you who run concession stands.  I feel your pain.
SIDE NOTE:
I don’t want to create a whole new post for this, but our trip leader, Mrs. Mayer, is so awesome!  She gave all of our travelers, and even me, a Christmas present today.  It was a monogramed travel bag from L.L. Bean…size medium.  Then, what was even better, there was stuff in it…shampoo, Q-tips, first aid kit, razors, hand sanitizer and it keeps going.  It was so thoughtful.  The kids were super excited and I feel very honored to be traveling with such a generous and thoughtful person.  We are so lucky!
